[Notice] Upcoming Privacy Policy Update for Gmail Integration

Hello, this is the Acloset Team.

We are writing to inform you in advance that, in preparation for an upcoming Gmail integration feature, parts of our Privacy Policy will be amended as outlined below.

The Gmail integration feature is currently under development and will be released in a future Acloset update. Once available, it will allow you to connect your Google account so that Acloset can automatically identify purchase receipt emails in your inbox and import the corresponding clothing items into your Closet — without requiring you to forward each email manually.

Ahead of this feature's release, we plan to update our Privacy Policy to disclose how information obtained through Google APIs will be accessed, used, stored, and shared.

Please refer to the planned changes below for more information.

Planned Additions and Updates to the Privacy Policy

The following text will be added to our Privacy Policy. No existing text will be removed.

1. Section: "Information to be Collected and Method of Collection" → "Personal information items to be collected" → "Information provided by the users" → "Third-Party Integration Data" → "Connected Email Accounts"

"Acloset's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."

(For reference, the existing clause currently reads: "If you connect your email account (e.g., via Google OAuth), we collect the content of specific emails identified as purchase receipts or order confirmations. We do not access or collect emails that are determined to be unrelated to transaction history." — this existing text will remain unchanged.)

2. Section: "Use of Collected Information"

"Information obtained through Gmail integration is used solely to identify purchase receipts and import the corresponding clothing items into your Acloset closet. We do not use this information for advertising, marketing, or to train generalized or third-party AI/ML models."

3. Section: "Disclosure of Information"

"We do not sell or transfer information obtained through Gmail integration to third parties such as advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. The third-party sharing practices described above do not apply to data obtained through Gmail integration."

The amended Privacy Policy will take effect together with the release of the Gmail integration feature in a future update. If, at the time of release, you choose not to use the Gmail integration feature, none of the changes above will affect you.
